On June 17, 2024, the M\u00c1V Symphony Orchestra will embark on a three-week tour in Japan with Ken'ichiro Kobayashi.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The concert tour will consist of 13 stops, starting in Tokyo, continuing in Osaka, Iwaki, Tokorozawa, Musashino, Yamagata, Omiya, Matsuyama, Takamatsu, Kanazawa, then finally concluding in Tokyo. Among the excellent concert halls, our orchestra will perform in Suntory Hall, Morioka, Nagoya and Fenice Sakai.<\/p>\n

During the tour, the orchestra will perform at 10 venues under the baton of Ken'ichiro Kobayashi, with the following program:<\/p>\n

Rossini: The Barber of Seville \u2013 overture
\nLiszt: Piano Concerto No. 1 in E flat major, S.124
\nTchaikovsky: Symphony No. 4, and Symphony No. 5
\nAnton\u00edn Dvo\u0159\u00e1k: Symphony No. 9
<\/p>\n

Guest musician: Masaya Kamei<\/strong> on piano, winner of the Long\u2013Thibaud\u2013Crespin International Competition in 2022.<\/p>\n

On three occasions, the ensemble will perform under the baton of the renowned Slovak conductor M\u00e1rio Ko\u0161\u00edk, who has regularly collaborated with several Japanese orchestras since 2020, notably the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, but has also conducted foreign ensembles in Japan on numerous occasions.<\/p>\n

Brahms: Hungarian Dances No. 1 and Hungarian Dances No. 5
\nLiszt: Piano Concerto No. 1 - with Masaya Kamei on piano
\nBrahms: Symphony No. 2<\/p>\n

It is an honour for the M\u00c1V Symphony Orchestra to return to the great cities of the \"Land of the Rising Sun\" this year, after its last highly successful tour in Japan in 2019, under the baton of the 84-year-old Maestro and with the young talented pianist Masaya Kamei.<\/p>\n
