The tradition of musical dynasties is a recurring phenomenon in music history. Just think of the Bach family, the Scarlatti family, or the Mozart family—for the children of musician parents, an artistic career is often an almost natural choice.
This is no different in the case of the pianist couple Dezső Ránki and Edit Klukon: their son, Fülöp Ránki, has also chosen this profession. They share a common musical interest, particularly in the works of Franz Liszt and Barnabás Dukay.
On this evening, however, the focus is on Johann Sebastian Bach, conducted by Gábor Takács-Nagy.
