We are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Railwaymen’s Singing and Music Society, the predecessor of the MÁV Symphony Orchestra.
The MÁV Symphony Orchestra will commemorate its predecessor, the Railwaymen's Singing and Music Society, founded 100 years ago on 10 February 1924 in the theatre of the MÁV Northern Main Workshop, on the Brahms Evening on 15 February. The choir's principal conductor was László Seres, the artistic director and conductor of the orchestra was Emil Ábrányi until 1942 and Jenő Kenessey from 1942.
