We are delighted to inform our esteemed audience that, due to high demand, discounted tickets are available for the PUBLIC DRESS REHEARSAL of this year's Christmas concert, The Nutcracker and Christmas Melodies! Venue: Liszt Academy of Music, Grand Hall.
All tickets for the evening performance have been sold out!
Our festive concert evokes many aspects of Christmas musical traditions. Excerpts from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite – the Dance of the Snowflakes and the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy – bring to life the wonder of childhood through E. T. A. Hoffmann's magical tale, while Sándor Szokolay's Hungarian Christmas presents the immaculate beauty of nativity traditions and folk songs in a moving arrangement. Humperdinck's suite Hansel and Gretel features lyrical and playful excerpts from the romantic fairy tale opera. The Magnificat Girls' Choir will also perform during the evening, as it is the human voice that makes the celebration of love truly complete and unforgettable.
