Director of the MÁV Symphony Orchestra György Lendvai, Chief Conductor Róbert Farkas and Conductor Gergely Kesselyák presented the MÁV Symphony Orchestra's 2022/2023 season at a press conference.
The orchestra will launch the new season with a free open-air OPEN DAY concert on May 14, 2022 at 6:00 pm in the garden of the Hungarian National Museum. Conductor: Róbert Farkas
We were honoured to welcome at the event our legendary Honorary Guest Conductor, Kobayashi Ken-Ichiro , who returned to Hungary after two years and will conduct the MÁV Symphony Orchestra on May 20 and 26.
On the occasion of his birthday, György Lendvai greeted the Maestro on behalf of the Orchestra and presented him with a unique Herend porcelain made specially for him.
Asked whether he would come to Hungary to the MÁV Symphony Orchestra, the Maestro said that he had been good friends ever since his first debut in Hungary in 1974, and that it was always a pleasure for him to meet and work with our orchestra.
Another special feature of the press conference was the presentation of a Certificate of Recognition to the MÁV Symphony Orchestra by Balázs Bokor, President of the Hungarian Hollywood Council , for its professionalism and authentic presentation of Miklós Rózsa's works.
